VBW BBB and EFDA

Professional courses in Dutch flower art can be organized by official schools or by private schools.
The Dutch florist association (VBW) offers licensed schools diplomas from Basic till Dutch Master level. There are about 25 licensed schools in Holland and there are schools in some other countries such as Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

  • VBW = Dutch florist association. (Centrale Vereniging voor de Bloemendetailhandel).  
  • BBB = a daughter organisation of the VBW. Organising courses and special training.
  • EFDA = European Floral Design Academy, is a commercial institute owned by STOAS. 
    EFDA  takes care for, in order of VBW (BBB), the examinations of the florist courses. 

The diplomas (Certificates) of VBW (BBB) are recommended by the Dutch government of agriculture.
