Anchor
Symbol of hope and steadiness.

Bow
Sign of the pact between God and the Earth (Gen.9:13). The rainbow is often regarded as a sign of hope and peace.

Circle (nimbus)
Refers to God and symbolizes eternity and perfection. A circle has no beginning and no end.

Cross
Sign of suffering and resurrection of Jesus and the symbol of the Christian religion. The cross is regarded as the connection between heaven and earth. There are many kinds of crosses e.g.: Andreas cross, Anchor cross, Two-pronged fork cross, Greek cross, Huguenot cross, Latin cross, Saint Anthony cross, Tau-cross.

Sign of love, sometimes the sign for the soul.

Octagon
The number 8 refers to the resurrection and recreation in Christ.

Pentagram
A five-pointed star (pentagram) is a sign of the 5 books of Moses, but also of the 5 senses of Man or the 5 wounds of Jesus. The six-pointed star (hexagram) is the symbol of Judaism.

Triangle
A symmetrical triangle refers to the Trinity.

Moon
Refers to the cycle of life and determines the rhythm of the tides. It is also a sign of resurrection: after every new moon the full moon will reappear.

Square
Earth: In former days people thought the earth was flat and had a square shape (Ezech.7:2, Revelation 20:8).

Star
Sign of salvation. The bright morning star is a sign of Jesus (Revelation 22:16).

Sun
Light of the Highest: the sun has the shape of a circle.(Luc.1:78-79).
