Description:
Winter is in the Netherlands because of the climate rich on special characters in nature. Most trees and shrubs loose their leaves and perennials went back under the ground till spring time. The cold time of the year has a specific feeling because of the white snow (if there is any), but also because of a naked and empty landscape. It can inspire us to create a winter arrangement.

We need for this lesson:

• A large low container of plate.

• Oasis.

• Sand, stones or gravel.

• Branches without leaves.

• A few small branches with green leaves on.

• (you also can use another combination)
  

Step by step:

1. Soap the  oasis and put it in the container, fill it completely, eventually in a hilly shape.
2. For extra support you can use chicken wire and put it over the oasis.
3. cover the base with sand.
4. Put in the big branches in the oasis and eventually you give them extra support with sticks.
5. Put a few green low branches for support and as sort of undergrowth. It gives more contrast and make the composition alive. You can also do without.
6. Cover the oasis with sand and some stones or gravel.

Materials used are: Bald branches to your choice, Buxus, sand and stones.
