Description:

Summer time always is a flowery period. Many summer flowers show us their beauty in the garden. Perennials, annuals and biennials will do their utmost and bring us a color full palette. For the flower arranger an nice time and challenge to create a arrangement of it. We do it this time in a  spontaneous contemporary way of arranging. The arrangement will be all sided, round, but not stiff symmetrical. Let the flowers drink water within Chrysal, a few hours before you start designing.

We need for this lesson:

  • A large container of low pot about. 17 till 25 cm. diameter.

  • mixed combination of summer flowers. You can choose a multicolored of a limited combination. Totally you need about 25 till 40 flowers.
  • About 9 long tendrils of Hedera. Eventually some short conifer branches.
  • You can choose also another combination, depending what is available.

Step by step:

  1. Soap the oasis and connect it in the container, keep a place open to give water.

  2. Put in the long Hedera tendrils first, one by one and bend them around the container with the oasis.  Put in the top in oasis, or bind it on another tendril. In this way we create an open basic shape made of bend tendrils.

  3. Put in eventually some short pieces of conifer to cover the oasis.

  4. Put in the flowers. Arrange them in a mixed design. In a way you like your self, playful and spontaneous. Divide the colors in a nice combination and contrast.

  5. As last you bend the leaves witch are not in a good position and clean the dirty leaves, if there are any.

Materials used are: Aconitum, Allium, Celosia plumosa, Echinacea purpurea, Helianthus annuus, Hypericum Papaver, Ranunculus, Solidago,, Buxus sempervirens, Hedera.
