Description:
This hand tied bouquet is made in an elegant linear style. You only need e few materials. If you make a linear dsign you must take care for space and line. The bouquet can be made in a spiral (corn sheaf) or in a parallel technique. Create with the lines an all sided design. Lines may cross if you want. If they not cross the design becomes more restfull. Try to find an interesting harmonious shape. Leaves play an important role in this bouquet. As extra decorative element copperwire is used. The wire is bend around a stick to create the nice sprials.

We need for this lesson:

  • 3 or 4 small sunn flowers, about 10 cm diameter.
  • 3 Aspidistra elatior.
  • 1 or 2 elegant Asparagus setaceus or A. setaceus 'Pyramidalis, this Pyramidalis sp is not easy to get
  • 7 large long stemmed Hedera leaves.
  • Eventually a few branches Hypericum or a branche Asclepias 'Moby Dick'.
  • The colour combination shows us a contrast between green and yellow. Choose always a combination of colours you like your self or are nice in your interior.

Step by step:

  • Choose a vasse with water and Chrysal.
  • Organise tools, a knive and a scissors.
  • Put all flowers on the tablel.
  • Clean the flower stems, take of damaged leaves and too many leaves.
  • Take a few sunflowers in the hand to create the hart of the bouquet.
  • Add Hypericum and/or Asclepias.
  • Add the elegant materials, Aspidistra and Asparagus.
  • Add the copperwire and finish with the Hedera-leaves.
  • Cut of the stems on eaqual lenght.
  • Bind the bouquet with binding string.
  • Do not forget to refill the water daily.

Materials used:

  • 3 Helianthus annuus, 5 Hypericum, 3 Aspidistra elatior, 2 Asparagus setaceus, 7 Hedera en koperdraad.
