World
Flower Council 
The World Flower Council is an established organization
to furthering the cause of world peace through the beauty of flowers
and the sharing of knowledge among those who have chosen the floral
industry as their profession. The World Flower Council has members
in 29 countries.
World
Flower Council Goals are:
To promote world peace by sharing the beauty of flowers.
To exchange design techniques and ideas with industry professionals from
many countries.
To learn about the latest care and handling techniques.
To promote student exchange programs, which allow students to study floral
design in other countries then their own.
To meet people from other countries who may be new sources for products
and supplies.
To broaden knowledge about sound business practices worldwide.
To make lasting friendships with others in the floral profession.
Each year a Summit takes place with design demonstrations in one of the
countries where the WFC has members.
In 2002 the International WFC Summit was held in Amsterdam in conjunction
with the Floriade.
In 2003 the Summit will be held in the Philippines on September 4-5-6.
In 2004 the annual meeting was in Latvia.
In 2005 the annual meeting was in Indonesia.
In 2006 the annual meeting was in Canada.
In 2007 it will be in France.
