Aad van Uffelen stops teaching at
Holland College
After 30 year teaching, at first
10 year at Tuinbouwschool Madesteijn and after it till now
20 year at Holland College, Aad van Uffelen has
decided to stop teaching December 1. He make use of a special
pre pension arrangement.
Aad:
I was lucky to be able in those many years to have had
many challenging tasks. Was able to work in all kind of committees
of the Dutch government and the florist association VBW. As
well was able to be examiner in many schools and in many
examinations.
Besides that I was able to develop several new education programs and had worked
together with many others to teach and to organise. To work in a team always
gave extra value to the work. Nice and thank full it was to help young teachers
on their first steps at school.
Also in the last 30 years I was lucky to write many books and articles. It
sharpen your mind and keeps you awake!
And I traveled to many countries for teaching or floral design demonstrations.
But also for flower decorations or lectures.
All parts of the world have been visited.
For many students I was able to assist them and to train
them on their road to a successful profession . Many I still
see frequently.
Also my work in the Advisory committee for the school was
challenging
I will continue to develop special courses for Holland College
and HollandAccent@ work as well keep teaching on special courses
as well. Dutch Floral Master, International courses and so
on.
But also other schools are able to use my profession and skills.
Organisations who like to come to Holland for a short intensive
floral art course can take contact with me.
I definite will keep my self busy with writing new books
and articles. Developing courses and writing lesson information.
Also teaching in other countries and doing floral design
shows will take part of it. And may by I can work on a real
floral art museum in the Netherlands. It is one of my dreams!
For sure I continue doing what I like most.
Further update of this web site also will have my priority now. Because of
busy schedule that was not possible last year.
I do hope to continue for many years in flower art, teaching,
writing and designing.
