New name for Holland college @work
HollandCollege @work has a new name: HollandAccent@work. This
because of the cooperation with the Accent education group. Also
there is a new logo. Teachers Aad van Uffelen and Hanneke Maasen
and their team stay at the school. Also they start up a new top
diploma Dutch Floral Master.

Per Benjamin World Champion
During the world championship flower art of FTD
(Fleurop), held on Floriade in the Netherlands Per Benjamin from
Sweden became the new world champion.
2e place Korea Yu Cheon Park
3e place: Japan Yoko Takanari and The Netherlands, Max van der Sluis

Largest flower auction
Flower auction FloraHolland is since January 1, 2002 the largest
flower auction in the world. The company has a turnover of 1.8 billon
Euro. There are auction point in Naaldwijk Rijnsburg, Bleiswijk and
Eelde.
Flower auction Aalsmeer is the second largest auction of the world.

The first year of our website have been very successful.
We have had about 65.000 visitors. The number of visitors now is much more.
50 % of our visitors are from around the world, the rest from Holland.

Teachers course
Aad van Uffelen has developed for the Boerma Institute a special
teachers course. This course contains 4 levels and give floral designers
the possibility quickly to learn many things necessary to teach flower
art. This course is practically-oriented. For information and subscribing
for this course you go to Boerma Instituut in the Netherlands info@boerma.nl The
course will be given by Aad van Uffelen and a few other
teachers. This unique course also will start in Japan, China
and Taiwan. From April 2001 it is also possible to study Dutch
flower art by Boerma Instituut Japan in Tokyo, see our link page

DFL nomination
The Dutch National Haagse Courant of november 25 have given a
nomination as best site of a national contest in November, to www.dutchflowerlink.nl The
site is describes as a topper. We are very proud in this.

Message for all visitors of my site
As you have seen I am working hard on my site. More that 300 pages
Dutch and 300 pages English are available now. I am working on a upgrade
and remove the errors in the site. This cost more time than thought
before. Because of the questions you send to me about expansion, I
can tell from now on frequently new arrangements will be added as well
as new information. In 2002 I hope we can offer a new element in the
site to provide much more information, such as a complete course, with
a special entrance code. Reed also the users information and the page
'what is new', we do our utmost to make the site interesting for you.

Flowers in hospital
Actual is the question; Yes or no for flowers and plants in a hospital?
Al most all hospitals are happy when flowers are delivered for the
patients. For special departments such as intensive care there are
often strict rules for flowers and plants. Flowers in general are good
for the health of the patient. In Holland the ministry of agriculture
have no objections against flowers in a hospital. Read
